The Australian Scale Model National were held at the Thunderbird Slot Racing in South Australia in Adelaide city from the 8th – 10th June 2012.
One of the main events was the open LMP Class for 1/32 scale cars with 25 contestants from all over Australia.
This class and the Australian Scale Model Nationals Champion for LMP cars was won by Trevor Pay from the Slotmasters Slot Car Club which races at the Thunderbird Raceway.

The podium was:

1st Place : Trevor Pay Sloting Plus Reynard
2nd Place : Anthony Niro Sloting Plus Reynard
3rd Place : Chris Richardson Sloting Plus Reynard
